Inspirational Speaker for Pupils & Students

Aaron Phipps - Inspirational Speaker

For all education settings, from infant to university and beyond

Help your pupils and students be more resilient and make positive choices.

Aaron’s motivational speaking has inspired thousands of students from ages 7 to 27 and their teachers!

As a survivor of Meningitis C as a child and going on to be a paralympian, his experience of overcoming challenges and achieving goals can be applied to life for young people in the current day and age.

Aaron has the skill of making his story relevant to everyone who hears it. He grabs pupils’ attention, engages them with his stories, and leaves them buzzing with an inspirational message that lasts. He’s happy to stay for Q&A, autographs and selfies and he does it all with honesty and humour.

Audiences rave about his presentations, and all leave inspired to achieve more.

Contact Aaron now and book him to attend your event.

IN MY 13 YEARS OF TEACHING, YOU WERE THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL SPEAKER I HAVE HEARD.

It is always great to have visitors into school and a break from routine. However, in my 13 years of teaching, you were the most inspirational and educational speaker I have heard. Your clear strategies for success, manner with the children, hands on activities and control of the cohort were exemplary.

I also came away from your session and talked to my family about the impact you’d had on me.

You are truly inspirational and I wish you every success with your next goal!

THERE WAS NOT ONE NEGATIVE PIECE OF FEEDBACK

Aaron, the boys I spoke to were genuinely stunned by your attitude and determination to achieve. They enjoyed your humour but the magnitude of your experience and the difficult process you have been through was not lost on them. They were hanging on every word and have learned so much about emotional recovery, overcoming obstacles and being optimistic in the face things that may appear hopeless.

There was not one negative piece of feedback and not one boy left without sharing something they gained yesterday. We cannot thank you enough for coming and sharing your stories with us again and leaving such a fantastic impression on staff and students. We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

‘WE ALL HAVE CHOICES’ IS STILL RINGING IN THE EARS OF OUR PUPILS.

On a daily basis we shrive to support our pupils to make independent positive choices in all aspects of their life and learning. Aaron’s workshops and insightful assembly concerning his philosophy for attacking life and achieving goals through self-management and perseverance was inspiration not only for our pupils but also for the adults who had the privilege to listen to Aaron present. His combination of real life experiences, fun attitude and rapport with pupils meant that everyone was fully engaged and keen to achieve all the challenges that were set before them. Aaron’s openness to answer any question allowed our pupils to explore all their thoughts and ideas concerning ‘overcoming’ obstacles and being successful. We chose Aaron as our speaker for perseverance, we chose to have all our pupils be part of the day, we chose to invest in our pupils future! ‘We all have choices!’

HONESTLY, DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS TO EXPRESS HOW AMAZING TODAY WAS.

I Just wanted to email a big Thank you to you for today! It was such an amazing and awe inspiring day. To watch the children absorbed in your assemblies and workshops and to hear their thoughtful and relevant questions was just so special. All the children were buzzing when they left you today! Honestly, do not have the words to express how amazing today was.

The teacher session was very special and we are very grateful that you went with the X rated version. You left a very special message and thought with all of us today at St Mary’s!

THEY LEARNT INVALUABLE LESSONS DURING THIS SESSION

After seeing Aaron speak at the Healthy School awards I knew he would be great to have at our school. He gave an engaging, inspirational and motivating assembly to years 1-4. They were all captivated by his stories and his messages. His workshop for years 5 and 6 was fantastic, the children loved the activities and they learnt invaluable lessons during this session. His message ‘Set a goal, get organised, ask for help, work hard, we all have our choices’ was perfect for our children and they took this message away with them.

I CANNOT RECALL A MORE IMPACTFUL AND RESONANT INPUT FROM A GUEST SPEAKER IN THE FIFTEEN YEARS OF THE EVENT

THE BUZZ CREATED AROUND THE SCHOOL

Wow – what an impact on 1000 students!

I have heard nothing else but the buzz created around the school by your inspirational presentation. Students who normally don’t say very much have been moved to talk about your journey and how it has impacted upon them and their friends.

We have many visitors in school every year as we seek to provide our students with a breadth of opportunities, people, experiences, cultures etc and of course they have variable amounts of impact depending on a whole range of factors. However, it is rare for there to be such a universally popular reaction like we experienced today as we ‘felt’ the power of your experiences and story.

Thank you for providing us with such inspiration and helping us to see that inspite of setbacks in life, peaks beyond our immediate expectations are achievable with determination, hard work and commitment.

GRABS THE ATTENTION OF ALL STUDENTS

Aaron Phipps is, without doubt, the most inspirational speaker that I have had the honour of listening to in a school setting. He is a natural speaker and has both an incredible story to tell but also an engaging way of telling it that grabs the attention of all students, regardless of their background and situations, Whenever Aaron has delivered a session or an assembly, there has always been such a buzz amongst students and staff and they always seem to want to hang around to ask questions and take selfies! Aaron challenges all stereotypes surrounding disability and makes students believe that they can achieve even when they face challenges. I would wholeheartedly recommend any school hosting a visit.

AMUSED AND GRIPPED EVERYONE FROM OUR 4-YEAR-OLDS TO THEIR GRANDPARENTS!

I wanted to again convey my thanks for the time you gave in coming down to Poole for our prize giving and speech day. Having met you at the Bournemouth University diversity event earlier this academic year, we knew that you would inspire our children and families – and so it proved! Thank you so much for being part of what was a great event at the end of term; your story and delivery of it both amused and gripped everyone from our 4-year-olds to their grandparents!. And thanks too for staying on as long as you did for photos, autographs and chats.

ONE OF THE MOST UPLIFTING, THOUGHT-PROVOKING AND REFRESHING HEADTEACHERS’ CONFERENCES EVER.

Aaron addressed over 120 headteachers at the 2018 West Sussex Primary Leadership Conference for Headteachers, and they were all blown away by his stories of phenomenal determination and self- motivation – “Fab-u-lous!” Delegates were clear in their post event evaluations that Aaron played a large part in making this one of the most uplifting, thought-provoking and refreshing Headteachers’ conferences ever. “Aaron Phipps has been lovely – understated, humorous and genuinely inspirational”. Thank you.

EVERY CHILD WAS EATING OUT OF YOUR HAND

I wanted to thank you from everyone at Yarrells for your fantastic, inspirational speech and hosting of all the requests for autographs and photographs in our Prizegiving in July. Every parent and child aged from 3- 14 were in awe of your spectacular presentation which was engaging (even with no audio-visual equipment) and for every person in our huge marquee. The older children loved the way you presented to them and our Parent Teacher Association were so proud to have funded such an inspirational speaker for our end of year celebration. I must thank you not only for your presentation but the way you socialised and chatted with every child and parent that approached you and wanted to know a little bit more about your story.

I felt on every level from our kindergarten to our Year 8s that every child was eating out of your hand for your entire visit. Thank you.

INSPIRING, PASSIONATE, INFORMATIVE, AND HUMOURED

Aaron Phipps provided us with much to think about when he was our guest speaker at Speech Day in 2017. A remarkable athlete who has not let his disability hamper his desire and determination to achieve at the highest level be that in sport or in the personal challenges he has set himself, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on his hands and knees. His talk to our children, parents and staff was by turns inspiring, passionate, informative, and humoured and he was, I am sure, an inspiration to all.

MADE A LASTING IMPRESSION

Aaron was engaging and humorous, but more importantly has made a lasting impression on the young people who spoke to. His message of overcoming adversity and constantly setting goals was a powerful one. Aaron spoke with passion and confidence of how his story was relevant to the students. The was Aaron’s second visit to the school and it won’t be his last!”

POSITIVE IMPACT YOU HAVE HAD ON MY FAMILY

Thanks for your time reading the email and for the positive impact you have had on my family. This weekend I caught my son Googling Southampton FCs phone number, when I asked ‘why?’ he told me he was trying to find the phone number for Southampton FC as you told him to ‘pick a goal, make a plan and go for it!’

THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH A DIFFERENCE TODAY

Your story touched so many adults and and our young people to think about better choices they can make. It highlighted so many areas: turning negative to positive thoughts, experiencing loss, collaboration and the determination you need to never give up.

Alongside our equalities curriculum, you have encouraged everyone to celebrate, tolerate and respect difference- tackling adversity and providing a welcoming, honest forum for our children to ask questions.

Thank you for making such a difference today.

ENCOURAGED ALL OF THE CHILDREN TO REFLECT ON THEIR OWN GOALS

Aaron’s visit to our school was absolutely fantastic! His story is incredibly inspiring and he pitched it so well to cover YR up to Y6. He was absolutely brilliant with the children; valuing every question and answering them honestly and with a wonderful sense of humour. His key message, ‘We all have choices’, was very powerful and encouraged all of the children to reflect on their own goals and how they could achieve them. Thank you Aaron!’

I DON’T THINK HE HAS EVER COME HOME FROM SCHOOL SO INSPIRED AND VOCAL

Just to let you know that Eddie was totally inspired by the speaker on Friday. He told me all about the speech in great detail and later told his father, grandparents and other relatives separately in the same detail each time. I don’t think he has ever come home from school so inspired and vocal. Afterwards I read Aaron’s website and Eddie seemed to have told us everything! Thank you for organizing it and please pass on my thanks to anyone else at ________ involved in the organization. I will certainly recommend him as a speaker elsewhere.

HIGHLY VALUED THE VISITS

We have highly valued the visits we have had from Aaron over the last few years. Most recently he was our guest speaker at our 2019 Sports Personality and Awards Evening in which he spoke both to our best performers and their families on how to ensure they make the most of their opportunities; that it takes more than just skill to find success on the sports field.

We have most recently invited Aaron in for a morning of motivational talks to our Year 8s and Year 7s, as well as meeting pupils from our Physical Disability Resource.

His openness and storytelling of the hardest and most celebrated parts of his life were inspiring and encouraging to all those. Aaron specifically launched our Rising Stars Programme designed at inspiring our Year 7s to seize opportunities available to them, to ask for help from staff, work hard as they value their education and try something new. We look forward to celebrating with our pupils their successes over the next 9 months on the back of this launch. We would welcome back Aaron in the future without hesitation.

ABSOLUTELY INSPIRING – ESSEX HEALTHY SCHOOLS AWARDS

As well as being a truly genuine and lovely person, Aaron’s story captured us all. He was engaging throughout and had everyone’s full attention from start to finish, not only to the children but the adults too.

Aaron gave the children belief in themselves that they can aspire to be the best they can be. He told his story with humour, passion and sincerity.

Everyone is still talking about it now and we have had so many lovely comments from the schools that attended.

RARELY DO THEY HAVE THE KIND OF IMPACT THAT AARON DID

Aaron immediately grabbed the attention of every child in the room with his energy, enthusiasm and presentation style. He is a natural storyteller – and if your story involves discussing how much fun it is to smash someone out of their wheelchair in sport then you have a pretty much guaranteed captive audience of 7-11 year olds! His core message that ‘We all have choices’ perfectly complimented his biography and inspired our children to think hard about their own actions and ambitions. We invite people from all walks of life to come through the doors of our school and speak with our children, but rarely do they have the kind of impact that Aaron did. We felt privileged to spend the day with him.

THE YEAR GROUP MESMERISED

Aaron came and spoke with our Year 11 cohort after their mock examination results in
January. At this point in time, morale for many was low after months of hard work with the
results not reflecting this. Aaron had the year group mesmerised with his stories of bravery,
sacrifice and determination to succeed in life no matter the obstacles in front of him.
Students were truly inspired with his account of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro; the pain, the
hurt, his desire and relief. Year 11 went away with the new mind-set that they can achieve
and a determination to want to succeed. Aaron is Testwood legend and a true inspiration to
all. We will be hoping he has the same positive impact on our future cohorts.

YOU ARE THE BEST SPEAKER I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE TO WATCH

I just wanted to thank you for your phenomenal presentation to Year 7 this morning. Your story was inspirational and made us all think about our goals in life and how we should be resilient and persevere through adversity.

Without question, you are the best speaker I have had the pleasure to watch and I would, without hesitation, recommend you to any school or establishment for the motivational speech you gave.

I FEEL TRULY MOTIVATED

Thank you so very much for yesterday morning, so many people have spoken to me since about how moved, engaged and thought provoking your talk was yesterday — i feel truly motivated to take on a challenge! The boys are all talking about it! Last night, when i spoke to my children they were truly enthralled by your journey and the videos i showed them on youtube means you have two new wheelchair rugby supporters!

Have a great rest of the week, and a fantastic summer.

I HAVE NEVER FELT COMPELLED TO DO THIS

I have never felt compelled to do this previously but you brought a tear to my eye, via your truly compelling and inspirational journey. You are remarkable and your message about how we all have choices, provides a timely reminder for us all to consider very carefully what we value and how we demonstrate this.
Keep making those tackles, like the one versus the USA and keep up the great work that you are doing.

CONFIDENCE TO TAKE THIS STEP

After you visited my son and nephew’s school, XXXXX Primary school, my nephew, who has a few medical problems, tried something new for the first time. This was something we had been encouraging him to do for a long time with no success.

My nephew received an electric scooter for Christmas but he had been reluctant and scared to use it. After he came home from school the day of your visit, he went straight on his scooter. It takes a lot for my nephew to try new things. Your inspirational words must have been at the forefront of his mind to have given him the confidence to take this step. You inspired lots of children that day and I would sincerely like to say thank you.

THE ATMOSPHERE AFTER THE EVENT WAS BUZZING

Aaron was the Guest of Honour at our Sports Personality Awards. His address was thoroughly enjoyable, interesting, entertaining and thought-provoking. He engaged with the audience and the students, and his message about choices is an important one. The atmosphere after the event was buzzing and a lot of this was down to Aaron’s contribution to the event.

AIM HIGHER, FARTHER AND FURTHER

Thank you so much for coming to school this evening and
sharing your fantastic story, your wonderful achievements and also giving us an insight into what drove you and led you to success. When I said that your presentation was humbling, I genuinely meant that.
You could tell that we are very proud of our pupils at our school and especially proud of all our sporting achievements, but yours dwarfed them. Your words of wisdom have inspired young
people (of all ages!) to aim higher, farther and further. The youngsters and families enjoyed meeting you enormously and I would like to add my personal comment to that, in that it was an honour for me too

AMAZING WAY OF CONNECTING WITH THE PUPILS

I found the Aaron’s presentation to be an uplifting and motivational hour for both pupils and staff. Personally, I was able to relate on so many levels….. sports person, teenager, parent.
The message to the pupils was simple and strong… the future is in their hands but requires hard work from them. Aaron has an amazing way of connecting with the pupils.

MANAGED TO KEEP EVEN THE MOST CHALLENGING OF STUDENT ENGAGED

Year 9 thought that Aaron spoke clearly on their level and they all really enjoyed it. I personally loved the mountain climbing section. Several of the students said that Aaron was inspirational and the big one for me was that he managed to keep even the most challenging of student engaged and interested for the whole hour.

ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO GAIN PERSPECTIVE

The presentation was engaging, humorous at times but also emotional and thought-provoking too. Students could really buy in to the session and Aaron himself. There were lots of references to achievements resulting from hard work which is great for us to be able to follow up with students. Aaron was an inspirational guest speaker that will not only encourage students to gain perspective, but also to push for their own dreams and goals. The students were absolutely buzzing after their session with Aaron.

TAILORED THE SESSIONS APPROPRIATELY TO EACH AGE GROUP

Aaron spoke to every child in the school, from our Reception classes right up to our Year 6 children. He tailored the sessions appropriately to each age group and had the whole school totally enthralled. Every teacher commented on how inspiring he was but also how much discussion and enthusiasm there was when the children returned to their classes afterwards.

The wheelchair rugby clips had a big impact on the children as it was so fast and furious. They loved seeing Aaron hitting the other players and knocking them out of their chairs! Aaron’s trek up Mount Kilimanjaro was truly inspiring for both children and staff and I’m not sure the children could quite believe that he literally crawled the whole way.

We will certainly use Aaron’s visit to remind children about having and making choices which will have a positive impact on their future as well as giving new things a try. The message that Aaron left us with is very clear – Anything is possible!

Some quotes directly from the children:
“I have a competition this weekend and Aaron has made me believe in myself”
“Aaron made me realise that it is my own choice and responsibility to try hard.”
“He is a legend and my hero!”

EXCELLENT AND PERFECTLY PITCHED

I just wanted to say what a profoundly positive impact you had on everyone at Cleves today. We had a leadership meeting after school and everyone was really buzzing from the day. Thank you very much for both the assemblies and the practical sessions this afternoon. Both were excellent and perfectly pitched to the needs of our pupils. We all love your set a goal, get organised, ask for help and work hard approach to life!

To me, the highlight was the year 5/6 assembly and seeing all our pupils utterly captivated by your journey up Kilimanjaro and then listening to their excellent questions.

SAT IN STUNNED SILENCE

“Funny”, “engaging”, “Inspiring” and “the best one we’ve ever had” – all words used to describe Aaron Phipps’ visit to Kennet School’s Sports Personality of the Year 2019. The audience sat in stunned silence whilst listening about his early life, and later in laughter when Aaron described his success and adventures. He was hugely inspirational, giving all an insight into his attitude and determination to push through barriers, making this section of the speech truly resonate with our pupils with physical disabilities. Aaron was personable, organised, relaxed and had a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend Aaron as a guest speaker and we look forward to inviting him back into Kennet School in September.

Get Organised and
Work Hard
so clearly that we are going to display it in every classroom, for us all to refer to when we need a lift and a reminder of what can be achieved.

Q&A WENT ON FOR 15 MINUTES AT THE END ALONE

I’m delighted to inform you that Aaron came to the School this morning and provided years 6&7 with an interactive and powerful speech and presentation on his life of being an amputee at 15 years of age due to meningitis and his story joining the GB Wheelchair Rugby team, a London marathon competitor and the first wheel Chair person to climb Mount Kilimanjaro unaided -wow

A truly inspirational guy reflected in the boys sitting so still and absorbing so much – the Q&A went on for 15 minutes at the end alone .

I think the School really appreciated the JCC bringing Aaron to the school and there was even talk of him returning to talk to older years .

POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND DETERMINATION ARE INSPIRATIONAL

Presentation was great with a mix of talking and video clips / photos.

I ACTUALLY ENJOYED ASSEMBLY FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER

Thanks again for yesterday, was fab and have had so much positive feedback from it! Some of the teachers emailed me so I have attached their comments

I would just like to say what a wonderful, determined guy Aaron was. His story was amazing and heart wrenching. My dad had meningitis and lost an area of his brain resulting in memory damage, but the best thing from today, was seeing xxxxxx’s face light up and feel so proud that he won the tennis ball and got it signed. He felt like he gained super powers from it.

What an inspiration not only for the children but for adults too. As you know I’ve gone through a lot and have been at rock bottom and still there but hopefully you wouldn’t know it! Today, Aaron made me feel that I can do things and really inspired me. I wanted to say thank you, a very BIG thank you.

Massively inspired, I will stop complaining about my Snowdon climb after watching his mountain experience! I found Aaron to be so genuine; he had a wonderful way of connecting and delivering his story to both adults and children. I loved his humour and of course his message.

My children wrote these comments:
I am going to try rock climbing and try to be more adventurous.
I am going to be more confident and try new things.
I am always going to try everything and face my fears.
You should believe in yourself. Never give up. He achieved his dreams so everyone can.
I’m going to follow my dreams and never give up
Amazing eh!

I personally really enjoyed today’s assembly and it was lovely to see the children so engaged. Aaron certainly knew how to hold their attention. My daughter in year 3 spoke about him all the way home. She spent 2 weeks on life support as a baby and said if Aaron could do anything then she could too! Such a valuable lesson in resilience for the children…and us adults too.

It was really good and the children were inspired. I overheard xxxx in my class (whose behaviour is always pretty bad) saying on the way back from the hall, ‘That was really good. I actually enjoyed assembly for the first time ever!’ and the others were agreeing with him!

What an inspiration. The children were really fired up and we talked for a good 30 minutes (and could have gone on for a lot longer) about aspirations, motivation, desire and destiny. We definitely said that we can be anything we want to be if we are motivated and dedicated. The children loved it after groaning about ‘another assembly’ as I’d kept it a surprise.

STUDENTS LISTENED WITH RAPACIOUS ATTENTION ALL THROUGH HIS DELIVERY

Aaron Phipps gave a brilliant and inspiring presentation to our students during the induction week. It was beautiful collection of obstacle surmounting, bridge building and frontiers extending life experiences. Students listened with rapacious attention all through his delivery, they asked provocative and challenging questions and he provided incisive and thought provoking responses. Students waited for autographs and personal pictures with Aaron and many indicated that his delivery session was one that provided the “wow” factor for them.

NEVER SEEN THE WHOLE SCHOOL BUZZING

Thank you so much for coming in today.

You were amazing and every student was engaged with what you shared. I have never seen the whole school buzzing in such a way as they were today and that was down to your assemblies.

YOU HIT THE RIGHT NOTE WITH OUR STUDENTS

Thank you so much for agreeing to speak at our presentation evening earlier today. Your speech was truly inspirational, as a parent said to me afterwards ‘inspirational and emotional’. You hit the right note with our students and demonstrated perfectly how important it is for them to develop the skill of resilience which can really them you to ride the ups and downs that life throws at you.

Thank you once again, I will be recommending you to other Heads.

Kind regards

TURN OUR OBSTACLES INTO OPPORTUNITIES

It was a privilege to welcome Aaron into our school to share his remarkable story. The children were totally engaged listening to his experiences and achievements. Aaron’s passion, humility and humour challenged us to turn our obstacles into opportunities and to never lose hope on achieving our goals. The children have remembered the key messages from his talk; ‘Set a goal, get organised, ask for help and be prepared to work hard!’. Thank you again Aaron for an inspirational day.

YOU CHALLENGED PERCEPTIONS ABOUT DISABILITY/ABILITY

I want to thank you so much for your time today. Thank you so much for all you did with pupils at both schools.

You were a positive role model to our young people, you challenged perceptions about disability/ability and you gave the message that we can all overcome barriers and achieve.

These are crucial messages to give our young people. You pitched the level of the communication just right and your talk was so engaging. The Heathfield lot were so excited to meet a sporting celebrity!!!!

SO AMAZED BY WHAT HE HAD DONE

Dear Mrs Faithfull,

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say how much (child’s name) and all his friends enjoyed the talk yesterday from Aaron Phipps.

I have never heard (child’s name) talk so much and with so much passion than he did about Aaron and his amazing achievements and career. He told me in great detail about Aaron and was so amazed by what he had done.

It’s great that our children can hear first hand the amazing things people can do and achieve despite facing such a traumatic event at a young age.

FEEDBACK FROM CHILDREN, STAFF AND PARENTS WAS AMAZING

A huge thank for the work you did with our children all feedback from children, staff and parents was amazing.
One of our teachers said “I just wanted to let you know that the assembly that Aaron did with KS1 was brilliant! He was an inspiration. It fit very well with our mental health week, as he had a very good ‘positive mental attitude’. It was also great to see the faces of those children who face their own specific challenges. He had some great messages to the children. Thank you”

Thank you once again for the inspirational speech

ONE YEAR AGO SHE WOULD NEVER HAVE CONTEMPLATED STAYING IN EDUCATION

I would just like to say a heartfelt ‘thanks’ to you and your team.

Having established a good working relationship with you, which included your presentation to my group, one student in particular, having previously remained unfocussed, was inspired to finally recognise her potential and is now starting a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing.

One year ago she would never have contemplated staying in education and it was through your own enthusiasm, and the support of college staff, that she started to believe in herself and acknowledge what she was capable of achieving.

I know that my colleagues, Gordon Lewis and Pip Smith, also appreciate your input and we look forward to working with you during the coming academic year.

With best wishes,

Andrea Arnott

HE WAS AMAZED ABOUT HAVING A WHEELCHAIR LIKE AARONS

One of our students in Year 5 is Autistic and has Hypermobility, he hasn’t stopped talking about Aaron all weekend, finding videos on YouTube about him.
He was amazed about having a wheelchair like Aaron’s but that his own is Mickey Mouse.
Our student struggles with being ‘different’ and he struggles to listen but told me lots about Aaron.
His Granddad only has one leg and he cannot wait to tell him.

IN THE PRESENCE OF SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL

Sometimes you know you are in the presence of someone very special. Today this was certainly the case for the children and staff of Marchwood Junior School, who had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Aaron’s remarkable story from an ‘ordinary’ young man growing up in Totton to the Paralympic star who we all watched in awe during the Paralympic Games in London 2012. Inspiring, humble and a role model to everyone he meets.

Thank you Aaron.

SUPERB

The students were simply blown away by Aaron’s story. He is an inspirational speaker who the students could relate to and who relates his story superbly well to their lives. The buzz after meeting him was palpable for all and has continued since. I often hear students talking about him and how he inspired them to overcome adversity or achieve what they want in their lives.

BEST DAY EVER AT SCHOOL

Aaron came for a day of Sky sports activities to our school, we are a SEN school and as such your students are different from mainstream. Aaron was excellent he engaged with all the students and had them all participating in wheel chair rugby. All the students said it was the best day ever at school, and now have a different view of what disabled sport is all about.

UTTERLY AMAZED BY THE NUMBER OF POSITIVE MESSAGES

Really wanted to say a huge thank you for coming to visit our school. The children have been talking about you an awful lot and you have really inspired us ALL… Both staff and children!
We were touched by your story… your honesty, but most of all …utterly amazed by the number of positive messages that came across in your assembly. I have to say I admire your utter determination and I know I am definitely going to try that something new (the next time I get offered an opportunity!).

GREAT MAN SPOKE TO THEM AT SCHOOL

I just wanted to say that my son came home from La Mare De Carteret Primary School yesterday saying what an great man spoke to them at school – Alan Phibbs he said – but near enough right for his age!!

He told me absolutely everything about what you spoke about – I cannot believe how much he remembered and how correct he was too after looking at your website. ………. was just amazed by you. He loved that you are a fighter in a good way not a bad way and really seemed to understand everything you said. From listening to the way ………. spoke about you, I can only imagine how inspirational your talk was to the children today.

So we just wanted to say thank you.

ANOTHER VISIT IF POSSIBLE

We would love to book you for another visit if possible – our children have been really inspired.

STILL BUZZING ABOUT MEETING YOU

Thanks again for giving up your time and delivering an excellent assembly.

The ambassadors will be leading an assembly following their interview with you after half-term. They were still buzzing about meeting you when I spoke to them this week!

WATCHING THE WHEELCHAIR RUGBY

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you
know that we took our kids to Olympic Park for a tour the other week and the lady who was doing the tour asked the children which sport they were most looking forward to watching in the Olympic or
Paralympic games.

I was surprised that half the children on the tour
said they were most looking forward to watching the wheelchair rugby (not football, hockey, rugby, gymnastics!) As the only time they have seen wheelchair rugby is with you I thought you’d like to know what a lasting impression you have had on our kids.

Please keep in touch, it would be lovely to have you back in after the games, even just for an hour or so to share your experience in
assembly.

Thanks again and good luck!
